If you enjoyed the recent Night Owl entry "Whatever Happened To Orlando Fetish", you'll enjoy reading the piece that inspired it, a conversation with Mistress Tania.

What inspired you to start the shows?

My mother's favorite vinyl record was a compilation of classic strip tease songs from 1950's called "Take if Off" Strip Tease Classics. I dug the music, and the act of performing. I've always been a bit of an exhibitionist since my younger years.

My deeper darker inspiration was "The Marquis de Sade" during college. If you've seen the  movie "Quills" Starring Geoffrey Rush and Kate Winslet, Michael Caine and Joaquin Phoenix, you'll experience the sick yet intelligent mind and the final years of the Marquis de Sade. His literature and sadistic games he played with women are what we call up to date as "Sadomasochism".

I moved to Chicago November 1995 and began working for "Pandora's Box", a bondage company run by two retired business woman located in the suburbs of Chicago. The dungeon was actually located in their attic which included every kind of piece of machinery that could bound, and strap a person down. The walls were peg board panels with hooks, and on those hooks were a number of gags, whips, pokers, prods, straps, etc. I knew this was where I would be able to play "role play" games and see how far I was allowed to go.

In order to become on of their "Dom's" there was a three month training period which included learning the tools, some psychology (mind or matter) and meeting the client to form a bond. I worked for Pandora's for two years and established a clientele of four men which I only serviced once maybe twice a month. Good money, good times.

I moved back to Orlando Florida in 1997 just before Mayor Glenda Hood pushed the the "Anti Rave Law" that closed down all after hours clubs, etc. I regained my position as Bartender and Promoter for the Kit Kat Club, Harold and Maudes, and the Globe located downtown Orlando (now Sling a Pores). Some time in late 1999 I met my other half of evil, Jen Paxton, a Theater Major and eager "Sub". She was much like me, an exhibitionist, daring, and willing to take my ideas to the stage. Through word of mouth about our ideas we met John Hartley, a traveling circus show entertainer and Guy (that's his name) who used to tour as a look a like Alice Cooper. We teamed together to form the "BONDAGE EXTRAVAGANZA" live bondage shows.

A bondage couple "Bety Bound" from Cocoa Beach Florida came to one of our first shows and also became part of the team. Bety Bound's speciality was hogtying, and suspension (hanging gagged, bound from ceiling). We also worked with Carrie and her vampire "Blood Letting" team. I think they really are vampires.

You would not believe the support we received and eager companies willing to work with us. We had everything from air brush artist's, clothing merchandise tables, Fairvilla Video, and lost of "club kids" dressed to impress. Orlando was in the height of under ground scene, such a cool vibe, cool people. Downtown Orlando will never experience this again.

Did you ever run into any trouble? Orlando can be a rough place for the sexually expressive.

Nearly fourteen years ago Orlando was considered the party capital. Underground Raves, After hours clubs, and only half the police officers you see downtown now. We actually had a few cops roll through the Kit Kat Club to "check it out". A lot of eye candy that included live cage dancing, human body buffet, and lots of spankings!

We also put on a Burlesque Show in the Kit Kat Club.  We had an entourage of women perform on stage, stripper pole and all, down to our undies. We got away with murder!

The shows at Knock Knock also were pretty risqué. Live video blazing across the wall with girls on girls, etc. swings, cages, it was too easy.

Where were they held?

They were held in the Kit Kat Club (downtown Orlando now Sling a Pores) and Knock Knock (downtown Orlando now Suite B). The Kit Kat Club shows were 4 times a year either during a holiday or the Summer Solstice. There were two or three (can't remember) shows held at Knock Knock.

What was the best show to catch?

Pretty much every episode of "Bondage Extravaganza" was crazy.

The Burlesque Show performed at Kit Kat Club would be one. I rented a U-haul to bring our gear to the club and used it in the back parking lot of Kit Kat as the dressing room which housed five strippers. At any given time at least two of us were completely naked, puffing weed, drinking, and doing other unmentionables. A few of the photographers and maybe boyfriends? Things maybe got a little wild while in the U-haul too. It was a cluster fuck of hot, sweaty, glittered babes on a rampage in downtown Orlando. We also had a human body buffet that was one of the sexiest things I thought of, and people devoured it!!!
The other would be one of the last Halloween shows performed at Knock Knock where the Opium Den located under the DJ booth was turned into a live sex room. With the camera pointed inside and projected on the wall of Knock Knock, I saw some crazy shit go on. A bit of almost sex, a bit of almost everything exposed, and I was sort of doing my thing by myself too. I don't have any idea how we got away with that, but I'm still asked "hey weren't you the girl at Knock Knock that stuck that thing .....?".

Were you ever asked to cross any personal boundaries?

Of course, usually while the idiot (sub) was already chained to the cross, pants down around his knees. That's when the candle wax, ice cubes, gentle crotch whipping, and clothes pins on the NIPS proceeded. They never asked again or just came back for more. I always asked prior "are you going home to a jealous girlfriend or wife?" "well you better go to I-Hop for a spin to let the welts do down before going home then, do I have your consent yes or no?".

Were there any legal limits to the performance that you found objectionable?

Yes and no. We always performed our Theatrical shows on stage, Jen and I and knew our own limits. No sex, no privates or nipples exposed (well sort of). But while in the audience we maintained the Domineering status and made sure we kept it legal, clean and fun for the on looker and victim. But as I said before we got away with a lot.

What was the reaction of your family or friends?

Half of the patrons were curious cats, some that had a fetish waiting to be exposed and finally having a place to dress up in women's panties and get flogged, some lesbians yearning to be punished for a closer look. Our friends loved it, some tried a few tricks at home and made their relationships improve. The owners of the Clubs loved the bar sales and exposure and "mom if you're watching, she made me do it!!".

Why have you stopped?

Kit Kat Club closed in September 2001, Knock Knock changed names, ideas. The four man team moved away, disappeared, etc...There was really no where to perform. Nothing last forever I say, so I'll hang up the flogger for now, and tell my stories of "Once in Orlando we got away with it"!

I would do it in a heartbeat if we had a willing venue and a crew again.

It's quiet in here! Why not leave a response?
